Using dummy panels in a shed – when function meets aesthetics

When installing integrated solar roofs, we often encounter challenges where the roof geometry requires customization. On this project, we have used dummy panels in a shed , which is a specially adapted non-manufacturer panel – used to maintain a holistic and aesthetic expression where standard solar panels cannot fit.
The dummy panel is often used in transition zones, narrow fields or at roof angles where efficient solar production is not possible – but where visual integrity is still important.
This makes the system appear seamless and architecturally integrated , without compromising performance or functionality. The solution is popular in both modern architecture and rehabilitation projects.
A dummy panel does not produce electricity – but it completes the whole.
